Wicked Tickets at the Boston Opera House
by admin on Jul.23, 2010, under Theatre News
Tickets to Wicked in Boston at the Boston Opera House are on sale now with the opening performance set for Wednesday September 1st. Only a few seats remain for the first week but the musical Wicked will be at the Boston Opera House until October 17th and there are plenty of great seats for the other performances, but at a price.
Wicked the musical is always a tough ticket and it’s no exception in Boston where the show has been sold out for some time. Most of the Wicked Boston tickets were sold months almost a year in advance to season ticket holders and resellers are now charging a pretty penny for the best seats.
The best seats for Wicked at the Boston Opera House will be in the center orchestra sections starting with row A. The first three rows, AA – CC may be a bit too close to take in all the action and although you can see well from most of the seats, the far right and left sections may have some partially obstructed views up close to the stage. The Dress Circle and Mezzanine sections have great views of the stage as well.
Buy Wicked tickets for the Boston Opera House now with no hidden fees or service charges.

Never been to the Opera House. I was considering tickets in Orchestra Row B “right of center” seats 1 to 7, but they also have Orchestra Row G “center” 107-110. Which would be better? I know you stated the center is the best but it is further back. Thanks in advance for the reply. Janet

Both seats are very good. The seats in row B are close enough to the center, and the aisle is always nice too. So those may have a slight edge over the Row G.

Want to take my family to see Wicked at the Boston Opera House. Read your comment above & wanted your opinion on seating also. Want the family to be able to see all the special effects, sets, etc. Would like them to even see the faces of the actors. Would this be possible on either the right or left sides of the orchestra section if we had close seats such as the 5th row or back? No obstruction to the action? If we chose the orchestra center I see where your article states to start at A no closer. Would Row A be too close also or is that a great row to take in everything. Would having the orchestra that close interfere at all with hearing the actors? What about as far back as the orchestra center row H? That should take in the entire stage but would we be able to experience seeing the faces of the actors clearly? We are used to going to North Shore Theatre where we can see everything so clearly. Looking at what pics are on the website of the Boston Opera Company it is hard to determine just how far away you are from the stage say in row H. Want to make it an awesome experience for the family.
I value your opinion. Bill

You can still see well from the left and right center sections, especially the low seat numbers. The far left and right sections may pose a problem if you’re sitting too close to the wall, you may miss some of the action in the back corner of the side you are on. After the orchestra pit, which is the same distance as about 3 rows, you have rows AA-DD, so Row A is the 5th row from the pit or about a 8 rows from the stage. You should be able to see the facial features fine from Row A. Getting to much closer and you would see those facial features better, but may lose a bit of the sound quality. The pictures usually don’t give an accurate view, in most cases they make the stage seem further away. As a general rule, if you like 5 rows back from the orchestra at a certain venue, it will most likely be similar at another theatre.
