by Greg Cullen on Jan.06, 2012, under Entertainment News
Van Halen tour dates for 2012 were announced today after an hour long performance by the band last night at the Cafe Wha? in New York. Van Halen will kick off the tour on February 18 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, KY and run through June 26 with a concert at the New Orleans Arena. The Van Halen tour will make a two night stand at Madison Square Garden and it looks like additional tour dates could be added if demand is great enough. Van Halen will be touring in support of their new album coming out in early February, A Different Kind of Truth.
Last night’s Van Halen concert was performed at a venue owned by David Lee Roth’s uncle and has seen many great performances over the years. The band kicked off the show with “You Really Got Me” and followed up with many hits including “Panama” and “Jump”. Wolfgang Van Halen will be on the tour replacing Michael Anthony and Kool & the Gang are slated to open some of the tour dates. Van Halen tickets go on sale January 14th.

2012 Van Halen Tour Dates – Van Halen Tickets on sale January 10th
by Greg Cullen on Dec.27, 2011, under Entertainment News
2012 Van Halen tour dates will be released in the coming days with David Lee Roth once again hitting the road with Eddie Van Halen, his son Wolfgang and his brother Alex Van Halen. The last time Van Halen toured was in 2007-2008 and they are expected to roll out a new album sometime in February. A video has been posted on the Van Halen website but not much information has been released other than the ticket on sale date of January 10th.
Van Halen will be just one of many rock bands set to tour in 2012 including Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen and Roger Waters that will be competing for the fans cash in 2012. David Lee Roth has been back with Van Halen since 2006 and it was on the 2008 tour that Van Halen had to take a break for undisclosed reasons though he was said to be back in rehab. Van Halen tickets are set to go on sale January 10th and more information on the 2012 Van Halen tour will come out in the coming days.
Van Halen canceled Soundwave Revolution?
by Greg Cullen on Aug.09, 2011, under Entertainment News
Van Halen appear to be the culprit in the cancellation of the Soundwave Revolution in Australia after it was announced by the promoter that an “unnamed band”, aka Van Halen, had to drop out. Considering that the other major acts announced were Alice Cooper, Bad Religion, Panic! At the Disco, etc, the only likely act that would have warranted the cancelling of the concert is Van Halen.
They can’t hide the fact that it was Eddie that screwed up again while working on his new album with David Lee Roth and it’s too bad the fans had to be jerked around less than a month before show time. The multi-stage festival was to be held from Sept 24 – Oct 1 and many of the bands will still make the trek and perform elsewhere in the country.
