There’s still time to get your college bowl game tickets for the upcoming games this weekend and depending on which one you’re looking at will determine the hit on your wallet.

There are still plenty of seats for the Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium, the Rose Bowl at Rose Bowl Stadium and the Orange Bowl at Land Shark Stadium, but the ticket prices are pretty stiff for these games. The starting price for the Cotton Bowl tickets are about $110 each, but for $350 you only get an end zone Rose Bowl ticket.

On the cheaper side you’ll find the Capitol One Bowl at the Citrus Bowl, the Sugar Bowl at Louisiana Stadium, and the Fiesta Bowl at the University of Phoenix to have the cheapest college bowl tickets available. For these games the college bowl ticket prices are starting at a low $35 each and there are plenty of seats available still.

As always though you need to be careful when you buy last minute tickets, especially during the holidays because of delivery issues. Check with the ticket broker you are buying your tickets from and make sure they guarantee delivery in time for the game or you can trust them to leave your tickets at the college bowl will call window. And if you’re looking for the big game, BCS National Championship tickets, those are available as well, but be prepared to shell out over $600 per ticket to enjoy that one.

If you’re looking for something to do this New Years weekend then you can find plenty to do that involves sports, especially football.

College Bowl games top the list of popular sporting events going on during the New Years holidays with the Rose Bowl down in Pasadena on Friday January 1st as one of the most popular of all. The Rose Bowl will pit the Oregon Ducks against the Ohio State Buckeyes at the Rose Bowl Stadium

You’ll find the Sugar Bowl at the Louisiana Superdome on January 1st as well and the Cotton Bowl on January 2nd at Cowboys Stadium. On New Years eve the Chick-fil-A Bowl will be held at the Georgia Dome and will feature Virginia Tech against Tennessee.

There are some great NFL football games this weekend with the Green Bay Packers playing the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday January 3rd at the University of Phoenix Stadium and the Philadelphia Eagles playing the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboy Stadium.

In the New York area you can find Mariah Carey performing on New Years Eve at Madison Square Garden and the New York Islanders playing the Atlanta Thrashers on January 2nd.

BCS Bowl selections were announced and the Texas Longhorns will be playing the Alabama Crimson Tide at the BCs Championship Bowl on January 7th at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena. BCS Championship Tickets are on sale now and are not cheap, so be prepared to open your wallet.

The Rose Bowl will feature the Oregon Ducks and the Ohio State Buckeyes and it’s the first appearance for the Ducks since 1995 at the Rose Bowl. Florida will be playing the Cincinnati Bearcats at the Louisiana Superdome on January 1st.

In the BCS rankings the Alabama Crimson Tide is now at number one, followed by the Texas Longhorns at number two and the Florida Gators have slipped all the way down to number five after the lopsided loss to the Crimson Tide on Saturday.
