Cheap Dave Matthews Band Tickets for Hollywood Bowl, Sleeptrain
by admin on Aug.22, 2010, under Discount Ticket Deals
Cheap Dave Matthews Band tickets are available for a couple of his upcoming concerts in California, but not for all of them. You can get a pretty good deal on tomorrow’s Dave Matthews Band concert at the Hollywood Bowl with tickets on the resell market running $58 and up.
The concert is sold out through Ticketmaster right now, but even when they had tickets the worst seats were $56 each and these are even better than those. Moving closer to the stage the ticket prices for Dave Matthews go up a bit, but you can still get a great seat at a very good price.
There are much better ticket deals for the Dave Matthews Band concert at the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Marysville. Floor genera admission seats right in front of the stage are running as low as $44 each. The face value at Ticketmaster for those seats is $84.70, a savings of over $40 per ticket.
For the rest of the Dave Matthews Band tour the ticket prices are not as generous. But you still may find a few ticket deals as the concerts grow near.

The Boston Red Sox will be playing the Baltimore Orioles tomorrow evening and the prices start at around $20 per seat, but this weekends series against the Tampa Bay Rays are almost double, at $39 and up per seat.

The New York Yankees are playing the Tampa Bay Rays today and Wednesday at the New Yankee Stadium, and prices start in the low $20′s. Be prepared for a big jump in prices in the postseason though.
Blink 182 have several shows this week in Oregon and Washington, before heading down to Sacramento’s Sleep Train Amphitheater on Saturday. This is another good show for pretty good seats at reasonable prices.
Ticket prices for the AC/DC concert in Phoenix at the US Airways Center on Thursday may still be a little high today, but check back later today or tomorrow if your looking for something more affordable, there are still plenty of seats showing.
Most MLB baseball games this week are at some pretty good prices because of the upcoming postseason, so if you’re looking for some cheap fun, try a baseball game this week or any of the many concerts on sale.
Don’t Blame Ticketmaster, Get After the Artist

As I look at the prices Coldplay are charging for the local show at Sleep Train Amphitheater and the price of the worst seat in the house, excluding the general admission lawn seating, are $124 with service charges and I can’t help but think back to Irving Azoff’s statement that Ticketmaster does not set the price of the ticket, and apparently not the service charge as well, the artist does.

Coldplay Jumping for $$
So it’s up to the fans to let the artist know if they will continue to accept such a steep price for concert tickets, especially when their own fans are in a severe recession and concert ticket prices are at an all time high.
Quit bitching at Ticketmaster, Live Nation and ticket brokers and start by letting your opinion known through the artist fan clubs, blogs, Facebook, Twitter and they will here it loud and clear. Maybe they can do away with one less mansion or a little less bling this year.
This generation of concert can organize more quickly and effectively than any before them with all the available methods of communication so I believe it’s time to exorcise that right and do something before only the rich can actually see the artist, without looking at them on a large video screen.
