2012 NHL Winter Classic tickets don’t come cheap

by on Nov.09, 2011, under Sports News

The 2012 NHL Winter Classic has the Philadelphia Flyers taking on the New York Rangers at Citizens Bank Park on January 2 and finding a cheap Winter Classic ticket is even harder than last year. Part of the reason is that at last years Winter Classic was played at Heinz Field with a seating capacity of 65,000 and this year the annual game is back at a baseball park, Citizens Bank Park, with only a seating capacity of just over 43,000.

The current 2012 Philadelphia Flyers NHL Winter Classic ticket prices from secondary ticket sellers has the cheapest tickets running over $500 per ticket for a good seat for the game. Because of the configuration of the ballpark there will a lot of seats much futher from the action than hockey fans may be used to from indoor arenas, but for many fans they just want to get in the game.

Citizens Bank Park will host the Philadelphia Flyers Alumni game on 12/31 and fans can find much cheaper tickets for that game. Philadelphia Flyers Winter Classic tickets are on sale now at PreferredSeat.com without any hidden fees or service charges.

Stop Stanley Cup Ticket Scams – Check the BBB

by on Jun.05, 2010, under Sports News

The Chicago Sun Times is warning Chicago Blackhawk fans to beware of Stanley Cup Ticket scams now after the first game produced a few problems with bad tickets. The Flyers beat the Blackhawks Friday night to even up the series. The Stanley Cup Finals will be back at the United Center on Sunday, followed by a game at the Wachovia Center on Wednesday and back to Chicago Friday June 11. if the series goes that far.

Most of the scams for Stanley Cup Finals tickets are from the internet, and many of those come from Craiglist. For big tickets items like the Stanley Cup Finals you are taking a big chance when you deal with a private party. The safest place to buy a Blackhawks ticket will be from a reputable sports ticket broker who specializes in tickets for the Stanley Cup Finals. Make sure they know what they are selling you, and you know what you are buying.

When you buy Stanley Cup tickets for the Blackhawks vs Flyers game be sure to check with the Better Business Bureau and see if they have an A+ rating which will give you some assurance they are a legitimate company that responds to any problems that may occur. And these days it doesn’t hurt to compare prices and avoid those ticket brokers that add hidden service charges.

And to be sure your getting the tickets you are ordering, it may be best with the limited time between playoff games to call and order your tickets by phone. That way you can get both a verbal and hopefully an email response in the form of an invoice to guarantee your seat location and the total cost you are paying.  Be careful with your money!

Tickets for the Chicago Blackhawks vs Flyers games are still available, from a reputable sports ticket broker with an A+ Better Business Bureau rating.
