Cheap Concert Tickets Available in Spite of Paperless Ticketing

by on Apr.26, 2010, under Discount Ticket Deals, Entertainment News

Cheap concert tickets are still available for many concerts this year in the US and Europe in spite of the many artists switching over to paperless tickets. Though Ticketmaster and Live Nation would have you believe that the paperless tickets are for the fans, the resell restriction prevents the ticket price from ever falling below the face value.

Many concert tickets have fallen in price from the hefty price tags that have been placed on the “concert experience” as fans react in many markets and stay home.  In Europe stars like Whitney Houston, Rhianna and John Mayer have had their ticket prices selling for less than face value on the secondary ticket market as reported by the guardian.co.uk. Because they are not paperless tickets fans can buy and sell them for whatever the market will bear, even for less than face value where it’s apparent they were overpriced.

In the US some of the most popular concert tours have cheap ticket prices as the shows have drawn near. Cheap Taylor Swift tickets are currently available for her concert at the Rupp Arena this Thursday and ticket prices are as low as $15 each and floor seats in the 7th row are running a low $88 each.

It is becoming apparent to many fans that the market price for concert tickets has gotten out of hand and unfortunately Live Nation and Ticketmaster’s plan to use paperless tickets has less to do with doing the fans a favor and more to control the market price of concert tickets. Cheap concert tickets will only be available if tickets are allowed to be freely resold so that the supply and demand will drive the price of concert tickets, not corporate greed.

You can find and buy cheap concert tickets for all concert tours with no hidden service charges and fees.

Cheap Concert Tickets Dominate the Secondary Market, Ticketmaster Pushing Paperless Tickets

by on Sep.30, 2009, under Business News, Discount Ticket Deals, Entertainment News, Music News

Cheap concert tickets appear to be getting more common in the secondary market making it tough for Ticketmaster to sell full priced seats at the last minute. Ticket brokers have been dropping prices on a variety of concerts throughout the country including the Bruce Springsteen concerts at Giants Stadium.

It didn’t help that Bruce has a five day run there, but ticket brokers have already cut prices in the upper level to $25 a seat and lower level seats for $50 each for tonight’s Springsteen concert. Concert ticket prices across the country are way down this year and many artists are feeling the pinch including Barry Manilow, Jamie Foxx, Ron White and Rascal Flatts.

In the secondary ticket market, many of these artists are barely selling for face value for the premium seats that used to go for double that. Ticketmaster is having a tough time because customers are turning to ticket brokers to buy these last minute cheap tickets at a discount, usually face value or less for a poor selling artist.

It’s no wonder Ticketmaster is pushing the paperless tickets so they can have a monopoly on the resell of concert tickets. Then there wouldn’t be any competition for last minute tickets because nobody but Ticketmaster would be able to resell the tickets. How often do you get a good deal from a company that has a stranglehold on the market?

Miley Cyrus Concert Tickets Discounted to $25 Paperless Ticketing to Blame?

by on Sep.15, 2009, under Discount Ticket Deals, Entertainment News, Music News

Miley Cyrus tickets for her upcoming concert this Friday have been discounted as a “Back to School” special by the promoter to help sell fill up the Oracle Arena. You may remember that this is the first tour to use Ticketmaster paperless ticketing that requires and id at the door so your tickets can be printed there and they aren’t supposed to be resold.

Not only are her tickets resold on the secondary market in spite of the reselling restriction, but it seems to have turned off parents and fans alike with the trouble it takes to use the new system. The paperless system requires the purchaser to attend the show so a parent cannot buy tickets for her teenagers and drop them at the door. Not only that, but if you wanted to attend the show with friends, one person must pay for all of the tickets, requiring a bit of faith in friends to pay you back.

For one of the hottest concert tours of the summer, Miley Cyrus tickets are going over with less than a bang, but that’s showbiz.
