Oakland Raiders Pull Off an Upset Over the Philadelphia Eagles
by admin on Oct.19, 2009, under Discount Ticket Deals, Sports News
The Oakland Raiders pulled off a big upset over the visiting Philadelphia Eagles with a 13-9 win on Sunday. And who could have predicted that win after the lousy play so far this season.
But it wasn’t the offense that won the game, JaMarcus Russell did complete a short pass that resulted in the single touchdown of the game, but he also through two interceptions. The defense came out swinging as Raiders Coach Tom Cable had asked them to, and the Eagles offense could not handle the Raiders when they rushed Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.
Too bad the Raiders have already lost most of their fans for the year, the Oakland Coliseum looked pretty empty at the start of the game, and didn’t get a whole lot better as the game progressed.
Cheap tickets are still available for the Raiders vs NY Jets game on Sunday October 25th.
Oakland Raiders Blackout Denver Broncos Game this Sunday
by Greg on Sep.25, 2009, under Sports News
The Oakland Raiders face a blackout for this weekends game against the Denver Broncos at the Oakland – Alameda County Coliseum after failing to sell the number of seats as required by NFL rules. Thursday’s deadline of 1pm came and went so local television programing will not be showing the game.
Too bad for the fans who cannot afford to go to the game, or just don’t enjoy the live experience enough to go through the trouble it takes to go to a game in the San Francisco Bay Area because of traffic problems.
It’s an NFL rule that has been debated lately, but it doesn’t look like that policy will change any time soon. On the bright side, tickets are running fairly cheep at $45 and up per ticket at the posting time of this blog, and the weather in Oakland is usually pretty good this time of year, so this may be one of those games worth attending in person. If nothing else, to relax and blow off some steam at the teams.
Oakland Raider Tickets are available for this weekends game against the Denver Broncos and for any of the Oakland Raider games, especially Raider blackout games! NFL Tickets are also available for all the teams for the 2009-10 season.
San Francisco 49ers Go 2-0 With Win Over Seahawks, Frank Gore Leads the Way
by admin on Sep.21, 2009, under Entertainment News, Sports News
The San Francisco 49ers are 2-0 after taking on and beating the Seattle Seahawks yesterday, with Frank Gore running for 207 yards and two touchdowns. The 49ers have not been 2-0 in a long time and 49er fans are ecstatic with Mike Singletary as coach this year, turning the team into a contender in the short time he has been with the team.
Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck left the game at the end of the second quarter after taking a hit in the back during a run with the ball and is hopeful for this weekends game against the Bears. This Sunday the San Francisco 49ers play the Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre at the Metrodome. The Vikings are 2-0 as well after coming off a convincing win over the Detroit Lions this past weekend.
Across the bay the Oakland Raiders squeaked out a win without much help from JaMarcus Russell. The Oakland Raider QB who could not connect with his receivers for most of the game but managed a couple of good passes at the end to help win the game. Russell is a great example of why the 49ers should not back down to holdout Michael Crabtree. You’ve got to earn it if you haven’t already proven it.NFL Tickets are on sale for all the games.
