Rush Limbaugh Not Likely to Get NFL Approval for NFL St. Louis Rams Purchase

by on Oct.13, 2009, under Sports News

Rush Limbaugh likes to talk. And Rush will always speak his mind. And maybe that is what will keep him from becoming part owner in the NFL Rams football franchise.

The Rosenbloom family is putting the St. Louis Rams up for sale and Limbaugh is part of a group that has expressed interest in buying the pro football team. But comments Limbaugh has made in the past seem to have caught up with the conservative talk show host, and one of the NFL owners has already come out to say he would not vote for ownership for Limbaugh.

Jim Irsay of the Indianapolis Colts said recently “I, myself, couldn’t even consider voting for him,” Irsay said at the owners meetings. “When there are comments that have been made that are inappropriate, incendiary and insensitive … our words do damage, and it’s something that we don’t need.”

Some of the comments Rush has made include, “The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.” and in regards to Donovan McMahon, “I think what we’ve had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well.”

Rush Limbaugh has his image to uphold and the NFL has theirs, and the outspoken Limbaugh may be too much for the NFL owners to handle, so look for a rejection for Rush on this one.

NFL Tickets are available for all of the games of the 2009-10 season.

Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football at Cowboy Stadium, Tony Romo on the Hot Seat

by on Sep.28, 2009, under Sports News

The Dallas Cowboys will be playing the Carolina Panthers tonight at Cowboys Stadium for a NFL Monday Night Football game that will be testing quarterback Tony Romo once again.

Without Terrel Owens this year, things are not going to be any easier for Tony, especially after last years playoff blowout that saw the Cowboys lose to the Philadelphia Eagles 44-6.

The Cowboys shouldn’t have too much trouble with the Panthers, who have lost their first two games and are putting up some of the worst stats in the league. But the Cowboys are playing at home on NFL Monday Night Football, and the loss of the first home game at the new Cowboy Stadium last week won’t go away anytime soon for Jerry Jones.

Dallas Cowboys tickets are on sale for all the home games at Cowboys Stadium and for any road game as well.

Oakland Raiders Blackout Denver Broncos Game this Sunday

by on Sep.25, 2009, under Sports News

The Oakland Raiders face a blackout for this weekends game against the Denver Broncos at the Oakland – Alameda County Coliseum after failing to sell the number of seats as required by NFL rules. Thursday’s deadline of 1pm came and went so local television programing will not be showing the game.

Too bad for the fans who cannot afford to go to the game, or just don’t enjoy the live experience enough to go through the trouble it takes to go to a game in the San Francisco Bay Area because of traffic problems.

It’s an NFL rule that has been debated lately, but it doesn’t look like that policy will change any time soon. On the bright side, tickets are running fairly cheep at $45 and up per ticket at the posting time of this blog, and the weather in Oakland is usually pretty good this time of year, so this may be one of those games worth attending in person. If nothing else, to relax and blow off some steam at the teams.
Oakland Raider Tickets are available for this weekends game against the Denver Broncos and for any of the Oakland Raider games, especially Raider blackout games! NFL Tickets are also available for all the teams for the 2009-10 season.
