The NBA Fans 40-40-20 Plan

by on Nov.18, 2011, under Sports News

The NBA players may have decided to take a hike rather than a smaller slice of the NBA revenue pie but the fans would like both sides to consider their plan for the future of the NBA. Rather than a 50-50 split or 48-52 or whatever the current argument is over, the fans would like to propose a 40-40-20 split where the greedy owners and players give up 10% each to lower ticket prices and to get the fans interested in the live game again.

What the players are ignoring while chasing their almighty dollar is that the fans are the ones that have to come up with the dough to pay for the mansions, cars and jewelry and in these tough economic conditions and fancy big screen high definition televisions, we may just decide to stay home when you come back to play. Think about it. Who controls the money flow but the NBA season ticket holders and single game buyers.

Give the NBA players and owners their year off, but demand a 40-40-20 split for the fans to get a break for once, and they may have to bow to that demand if the fans took the second year off for themselves. At no time has it been more important for NBA owners and players to listen to the fans and look at the stats. Fewer fans are attending live events because of the rising prices, poor economic conditions and fantastic televisions that make it seem like your at the game, at a fraction of the price.  I’ve got mine fired up.

NBA 2011-12 schedule – NBA tickets

by on Jul.19, 2011, under Sports News

The NBA released the 2011-12 NBA game schedule and tv schedules today with crossed fingers that the season will get off on time. The NBA season will tip off on November 5 as long as the contract negotiations between the league and players are settled in time. The NBA Finals champion Dallas Mavericks will face the Miami Heat on Christmas Day for the first rematch between the teams since the finals.

NBA teams have been busy pushing season tickets this year after a bit of a slowdown in season tickets in 2010-11. In spite of their own ongoing contract negotiations NFL tickets are already on sale with a full refund for any games not played.

The labor strife has put a damper on the announcement for the 2011-12 NBA schedule but that didn’t stop NBA tickets from going on sale in the secondary market today also.

Sacramento Kings fans favor move to Louisville over Anaheim

by on Mar.01, 2011, under Sports News

The owners of the Sacramento Kings, the Magoofs are shopping the team around for a new arena and currently the talks seem to be focused on the Honda Center in Anaheim. Even though die hard Sacramento Kings fans don’t want the team to move, they hate the idea more of them moving down to Los Angeles.

Rather than moving another team to the Los Angeles market the Magoofs should seriously consider Louisville, Kentucky. There are plenty of reasons for the move to Kentucky rather than to the Los Angeles area where Kings fans have had a long time hatred of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Top Ten Reasons the Sacramento Kings should not move to Anaheim

  1. If the Sacramento Kings moved to Los Angeles the basketball fans in Sacramento would lose all respect for the NBA. They’ve already lost all respect for the Magoofs.
  2. The Sacramento Kings fans earned the right to keep the team. It was the owners who jacked them up and destroyed the team with the lowest payroll in the league.
  3. Having three NBA teams within 30 miles of each other makes no sense at all, even in LA.
  4. Los Angeles does not deserve the Sacramento Kings.
  5. Louisville has the brand new KFC Yum Center which seats 22,000 and is perfect for basketball.
  6. The Louisville Cardinals basketball team already sells out venue for every home game.
  7. Louisvile has a Facebook pages with over 8,000 likes to encourage the Kings to come to Kentucky. Louisville KingsKentucky Kings
  8. The Magoofs would not be anywhere near the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, which is one of their reasons for relocating to the Los Angeles area.
  9. The Magoofs would be forced to spend more time with the regular people of Louisville, much like the people of Sacramento, and unlike the group they’re likely to spend time with in Los Angeles.
  10. The Magoofs do not deserve the Kings, Sacramento does. The fans have given a larger portion of their own personal wealth, love and tears to support the Kings than the Magoofs have.
