Valentine’s Day Ideas – Wicked the Musical – Winter Games

Valentine’s Day is this Sunday and there’s still plenty of last minute gift ideas for this coming weekend if you don’t already have plans. Hopefully the weather has cleared up a bit by then so travel isn’t a problem in your area.
If you haven’t seen Wicked the Musical, or even if you have, you can still find tickets for Wicked at several theaters around the country including the Gerswhin Theatre, Orpheum Theatre – San Francisco, David A Stratz Center – Carol Morsani Hall and the Peace Center in Greenville, SC.
The Winter Games in Vancouver begin on Friday with the Opening Ceremonies followed by Ice Hockey, Freestyle Skiing, Speed Skating, Figure Skating, Alpine Skiing and many more events for Valentines Day weekend. Tickets for the Opening Ceremony and most of the Winter Games Events are available now and are in hand and ready to ship overnight.
More ideas for this coming weekend include tickets for the NBA All Star game on Valentines Day at Cowboys Stadium, the AMA Supercross at Angel Stadium, The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and a number of NBA basketball games and NHL hockey games around the country.
Concerts this Valentines Day weekend are very limited in number but include some heavy hitters such as Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber, Billy Joel and Elton John and the Black Eyed Peas. There’s even more theatre going on this weekend that make for a great romantic weekend including the Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot and the Color Purple at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles.

With the Winter Games kicking off on February 12th it looks like 2010 will be an exciting year in sports. Tickets for the Winter Games are available still for all of the events, some cheap and some not so cheap. The Winter Games are just one of the exciting sporting events going on in 2010.

NBA All Star Game Coming Up

This weekend in Phoenix NBA players will converge for the annual NBA All Star Game at the US Airways Center while some players take a mid season break. There’s plenty to do in Phoenix to go with the game including the NBA Rookie Challenge, Celebrity Game and NBA All Star Saturday Night with the Three-Point Shootout and the Slam Dunk contest. The hotels in the area still have rooms available and the weather should be partly cloudy with temperatures in the low 60′s.
