Monday Night Football Packers vs Vikings and Brette Favre
by Greg Cullen on Oct.05, 2009, under Entertainment News, Sports News
It’s Monday Night Football and the Green Bay Packers will be visiting the Minnesota Vikings tonight at the Metrodome for one of most anticipated match ups this year. All eyes will be on Aaron Rodgers and the man he replaced at Green Bay to see who can prove to be the best player tonight.
The Minnesota Vikings are currently 3-0 this year with Brett Favre as quarterback, and are coming off a stunning last second win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Green Bay Packers beat the St Louis Rams last weekend behind Aaron Rogers three touchdown passes, but the Rams are not a team to be celebrating wins over this year.
The Packers can tie the lead in the NFC North with the Vikings and Bears with a win tonight, or leave the Vikings on top if the battle of the quarterbacks goes Brett Favre’s way. NFL Football Tickets are on sale for all the NFL teams online.
San Francisco 49ers Go 2-0 With Win Over Seahawks, Frank Gore Leads the Way
by Greg Cullen on Sep.21, 2009, under Entertainment News, Sports News
The San Francisco 49ers are 2-0 after taking on and beating the Seattle Seahawks yesterday, with Frank Gore running for 207 yards and two touchdowns. The 49ers have not been 2-0 in a long time and 49er fans are ecstatic with Mike Singletary as coach this year, turning the team into a contender in the short time he has been with the team.
Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck left the game at the end of the second quarter after taking a hit in the back during a run with the ball and is hopeful for this weekends game against the Bears. This Sunday the San Francisco 49ers play the Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre at the Metrodome. The Vikings are 2-0 as well after coming off a convincing win over the Detroit Lions this past weekend.
Across the bay the Oakland Raiders squeaked out a win without much help from JaMarcus Russell. The Oakland Raider QB who could not connect with his receivers for most of the game but managed a couple of good passes at the end to help win the game. Russell is a great example of why the 49ers should not back down to holdout Michael Crabtree. You’ve got to earn it if you haven’t already proven it.NFL Tickets are on sale for all the games.
Minnesta Vikings – Green Bay Tickets in Huge Demand with Brett Favre at Quarterback
by Greg Cullen on Aug.19, 2009, under Business News, Entertainment News, Sports News
Minnesota Viking tickets are in huge demand now that Brett Favre has decided to quarterback the team. The Green Bay Packers – Minnesota Vikings matchup on Monday night, October 5th at the Metrodome, will be the biggest game of the season, and the Packers – Vikings ticket prices are closer to a NFC Championship game prices, than a regular season game. Currently ticket prices for that game at the Metrodome are running from $230 and up, per ticket.
Brett flew to Minnesota on Tuesday and signed a two year contract worth a reported $25 million. With the signing of Brett Favre, the Vikings have sold about 10,000 more game tickets and 3,000 season tickets in about 24 hours.
Not everyone is happy though, Fran Tarkenton, who has criticized Brett in the past, blasted his former team the Vikings for going after Brett. “I really think the whole Brett Favre saga of retiring, un-retiring, three weeks ago [saying] ‘I can’t play,’ the Vikings said, ‘We’re moving on,’ it’s a circus,” Tarkenton said Wednesday on the “The Opening Drive.” “It’s an absolute circus, and it takes away from all the other things that are going on with the Vikings, with the NFL. We’re getting ready for a football season and this is a circus and I just have no interest in it.
That hasn’t stopped the demand for the Green Bay Packers – Minnesota Vikings game at Lambeau Field on November 1st, where ticket prices currently start at $390 and up per ticket. It’s going to take a lot of cash to pry those Packers – Vikings tickets from their fans hands, so prepare to pay, if you want to see the game.
