The NFL Wild Card playoff games are set for January 9th and 10th after this weekends final NFL regular season games and NFL playoff tickets are on sale now and going fast. The winners of the wild card games will go on the NFL Divisional Playoff rounds on Jan. 16-17. Three of the four NFL playoff games feature teams that just played this last weekend, several ending in routs, though not all teams played with the same agenda.

The AFC Wild Card playoff game will feature the N.Y. Jets vs the Cincinnati Bengals for a rematch of yesterday’s game that was a blowout with the Jets 37-0 win. Hopefully with the game at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati the Bengals will make more of a game out of it.

The second AFC Wild Card game will be at the home of the New England Patriots vs the Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, January 10th. The Patriots will be without receiver Wes Welker after he blew his knee out in the loss Sunday to the Houston Texans.

The NFC Wild Card playoff games will feature the Philadelphia Eagles vs the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboy Stadium on Saturday, January 9th. The Cowboys just came off a great game against the Eagles with a 24-0 rout so it will be interesting to see if the Eagles can bounce back against the Cowboys, who won the division title with that blowout.

The Green Bay Packers vs the Arizona Cardinals game at the University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday January 10th should be a great one after the Packers 33-7 win against the Cardinals yesterday. Both teams took a different approach to the game, the Packers wanted to win and stay sharp, while the Cardinals rested their starters for next weekends game.

The Minnesota Vikings are currently 3-0 this year with Brett Favre as quarterback, and are coming off a stunning last second win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Green Bay Packers beat the St Louis Rams last weekend behind Aaron Rogers three touchdown passes, but the Rams are not a team to be celebrating wins over this year.

NFL 2009-10 Kickoff

There are some exciting games on tap this Sunday including the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers game at Lambeau Field, and the Washington Redskins and NY Giants game at Giants Stadium. The Packers played well in the preseason under Aaron Rodgers and hope to get past the Brett Favre era and start a new winning program after last years disappointing season.

For Monday Night Football, it’s the San Diego Chargers vs the Oakland Raiders at Oakland Coliseum. We’ll see just how far JaMarcus Russell and the Raiders have come since last year after a tough couple of preseason games. The Oakland Raider fans deserve better than what they’ve seen the last few years and San Diego doesn’t want to help them out with this game.

This weekend is a great weekend to get a cheap seat for a sporting event. Major League Baseball is winding down the season and many teams have cheap baseball tickets for this weekends games. Check with the Los Angeles Angels, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies for discount tickets, or try any of the MLB Baseball teams as they wind down the season and get ready for the MLB playoffs.
