Google Search, Can You Find Me?
by Greg Cullen on Mar.10, 2009, under Uncategorized
Finding a specific company on Google can be an easy task. But getting your company website found on Google by potential customers is quite a bit different.
Most people using Google, Yahoo, MSN or any of the other search engines may not realize it but every time they click on a search result the company you clicked on will be charged by that search engine for that click. This can run anywhere from a few cents a click to $5 or much more per click.
This can be extremely expensive for most small businesses so you will have a tougher time finding a local small business through the paid clicks. You can find better results through the organic or non paid ads on Google, but you will need to spend a little for time, and you may save money because they are not saddled with the high cost of Google clicks.
For our company we found we were better off optimizing our website for the free organic clicks because the cost of paid clicks just was not panning out. Too much competition kept the price of keywords overpriced for the results we received so we cut back to only a few basic keywords related to our business name. For most small businesses with limited funds, optimizing your website may be the best move you can do for your company, just be prepared to put in some time or hire a qualified professional.
To make it easier to find us, we have included our link to our concerts, sports and theater tickets.
