The San Jose Sharks took one step closerin the 2011 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs with a 4-2 win over the Los Angles Kings Monday night. The Sharks are waiting for tonight’s game with Vancouver and Chicago to determine if they will play the Blackhawks or Flyers in the semifinal games.  San Jose Sharks playoff tickets are on sale now for all their HP Pavilion games and are currently at $146 and up per seat.

The Washington Captials have to wait until Wednesday for the Pittsburgh – Tampa Bay game to find out who their opponent will be for the semifinal playoff games at the Verizon Center. Washington Capitals playoff tickets are starting at $153 per seat for the home games.

Detroit Red Wings playoff tickets are some of the cheapest with starting prices around $49 and there are plenty of seats available in all price ranges. The Red Wings are also waiting for the Vancouver – Chicago game tonight to determine who they will face at Joe Louis Arena for the 2011 NHL semifinal games.

2010 NHL Winter Classic Tickets for Fenway Park on January 1st are on sale now and going fast. The NHL Winter Classic began in Buffalo in 2008 and became a big hit after the 2009 Winter Classic at Wrigley Field between the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings.

The first two games were played on football fields but the Wrigley Field location was by far the most popular location.The 2010 Winter Classic at the legendary Fenway Park will be a classic as well.

The Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins are both playing well this season and should provide a great game at Fenway. The weather will always be questionable but that adds to the game as long as there isn’t a whiteout.

Tickets for the NBA and NHL playoffs are at bargain prices in many cities. Some of the cheapest NBA tickets can be found in the Denver Nuggets – Dallas Mavericks series. For Wednesday nights game in Denver tickets start at just over $50 each and for the Orlando Magic – Boston Celtics game in Orlando on Thursday ticket prices start around $45 each. In contrast, for tonight’s LA Lakers – Houston Rockets game prices start around $90 each.

In the Anaheim Ducks – Detroit Red Wings game tonight in Anaheim prices start at just over $40 per seat, a relative cheap price compared to the Washington Capitals – Pittsburgh Penguins game on Wednesday at almost $200 a seat and up. We will sell what ticket prices are in the next round of the Stanley Cup and NBA playoff series, if the same holds true, some cities will be much cheaper to attend a game than others.
