Concert tickets are still Hot!
by admin on Feb.03, 2009, under Discount Ticket Deals, Entertainment News, Music News, Uncategorized
The economy is in a tailspin but people still have a need to get out and enjoy a great concert and there’s a little of the old and some of the new coming around this spring and summer. Some of the artists on tour are selling well, and some are selling so well the software to sell those tickets can’t keep up. This was the case when Phish went on sale recently and customers were greeted with error messages while trying to complete an online purchase. They sold out quickly leaving fans frustrated with the new ticket system.
Some of the hottest concert tickets on sale now include:
Phish – One of the premier jam bands is back after several years off. Phish have booked a number of dates in June and will be playing two shows at the 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on June 10 – 14th, in Manchester, Tennessee.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band – After a rousing Super Bowl show, the Springsteen tour will cross the country and as always Bruce will play many of their longtime hits as well as songs from the new album, “Working on a Dream”. Bruce and the band will be performing at the 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival as well.
The Killers – Out of Las Vegas, the Killers are touring and playing much smaller venues than Bruce and Phish, so now is the time to catch them before the large arena’s come calling. The Killers have one of the most affordable prices as far as concert tickets go with the face value without service charges about $35.
Fall Out Boy – With Cobra Starship, Metro Station and All Time Low, the Fall Out Boy tour is in full swing, calling the tour “the Believers Never Die Part Deux tour”. Tickets for Fall Out Boy are also one of the cheapest concert tickets you can find staying around $40 for the face value.
The Dead – Maybe the last time these guys take to the road as a group, The Dead are on a small trek taking them from the East Coast to California with the final date at Shoreline Amphitheater, the only outdoor show on the tour. Even without Jerry Garcia, The Dead are still the premier jam band on the road today.
Death Cab for Cutie – Another band on tour but playing the smaller venues and great prices, Death Cab for Cutie are on tour with general admission seating for most of their shows.

The Dead to Jam at Obama’s Inagural Ball
by admin on Jan.15, 2009, under Music News
Your probably already know that Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, Bono and many more are performing at some of the Inaugural festivities, but recently added for the Mid-Atlantic Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C. on January 20th will be none other than the Dead. As recently reported, the Dead are embarking on a new tour this year, but before they do they will jam for Barack Obama before heading out on the road in April.

The Dead to jam at the Ball
The Dead supported Barack Obama’s campaign for President of the United States with a couple of shows last year and were rewarded as one of the chosen few artists to entertain the crowd at the ball. Mickey Hart was quoted recently in Rolling Stone when asked if they had passed the security clearance, “Oh, yeah, we don’t look so bad on paper. It’s not as bad as you might think.”. Considering the strange trip the Dead have been on through the years, even this may be a bit of a surprise to some of his supporters. Now that is something I just have to see, the President of the United States jamming with The Dead. Let’s just hope the air will be a lot clearer than most of the Dead’s concerts.
