Tickets for the World Series at Citizens Bank Park on Sale Now – Philadelphia Phillies Clinch NLCS
by Greg Cullen on Oct.21, 2009, under Entertainment News, Sports News
Tickets for the World Series at Citizens Bank Park are on sale now after the Philadelphia Phillies blew out the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 10-4. The Phillies were not going to let this one slip away at home and they came out swinging to lead most of the game.
The Phillies are back once again after winning the World Series in 2008 against the Tampa Bay Rays. Previously, they had lost at their last two attempts in the 1993 World Series to Toronto, and the 1983 World Series in Baltimore, but won the 1980 World Series against the Kansas City Royals.
The 2009 World Series will begin at the home of the American League Championship Series winner on Wednesday October 28th, which could be decided as soon as Thursday, when the Yankees try to finish off the Angels and get their ticket for the World Series. The World Series will shift to Citizens Bank Park on Halloween, October 31st, and unlikely day for a ballgame.
Tickets for the World Series at Citizens Bank Park will be expensive even with the bad economy, starting at hundreds of dollars for just a standing room only ticket. If price is an object, you may want to stay home and just buy a big screen tv instead.

Major League Baseball Playoffs Set to BeginToday – But How Are Ticket Sales?
by Greg Cullen on Oct.07, 2009, under Entertainment News, Sports News
Major League Baseball will kick off the postseason tonight with baseball playoff games set for New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
The AL Central Tiebreaker game last night between the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins ended in overtime, with the Minnesota Twins winning the 6-5 victory in the 12th inning, sending the Twins to the New Yankee Stadium for the first game of the American League Division Series against the New York Yankees tonight.
The Yankees have the home field advantage as well as playing the weakest opponent in the playoffs, and should best the Twins in both pitching and hitting. After losing 13 of the last 17 playoff games, the Yankees need these wins badly. Yankees vs Twins tickets for tonight are selling for about $75 and up per ticket, some of the highest of all the baseball playoff games. Yankees vs Twins Playoff Tickets are still available for all the games in the series.
The National League games that begin today include the Colorado Rockies visiting the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. After losing to the Rockies in the first round of 2007, the Phillies will be ready this year with better pitching and fielding than the Rockies. And they’ll need it with the Rockies hitting well in the second half of the season. Phillies vs Rockies Playoff Tickets are still available for the rest of the series.
The St. Louis Cardinals and Tony La Russa will be visiting Dodger Stadium tonight to play the Los Angeles Dodgers in what should be a very close series. At publish time of this blog the Dodgers vs Cardinals Playoff Tickets tonight were selling at $30 and up, not too bad for a baseball playoff game, and the cheapest tickets in this years MLB Baseball playoffs.
