San Francisco 49ers ticket sales lag

by on Oct.20, 2011, under Discount Ticket Deals, Sports News

The San Francisco 49ers are playing very well this year with a 5-1 record but ticket sales have lagged on the secondary market and discount tickets are everywhere. The price of cheap San Francisco 49ers tickets has gone up a bit in recent weeks, but the good seats on the yardlines are still a tough sell.

Currently there are close to 8,000 seats remaining for sale at PreferredSeat.com for the 49ers vs. Browns game on October 30th and most of the best seats at Candlestick Park are not selling for much over the face value. Maybe it’s the cost of the tickets in a down economy or the old outdated stadium and poor parking at Candlestick Park that are keeping many of the most loyal fans away.

But another factor could also be the cost of a high def. large screen television that may be keeping fans at home in their own luxury seats with all the amenities at no extra cost.

San Francisco 49ers Jack up Ticket Prices 10-15% in 2011

by on Nov.04, 2010, under Sports News

The San Francisco 49ers are going to be raising ticket prices again next year in spite of another lousy year and the prospect of another losing season. But they are will be raising the prices of only the best seats at Candlestick Park to stick it to the long time season ticket holders.

I can only think of one reason the 49ers would jack up the fans again this year after raising prices the last several years as they lost more and more games and that is to get rid of many of the season ticket holders so they can either make them available to the corporate stiffs financing the new stadium or to get more money for those tickets when the season ticket holder drops them.

San Francisco 49er season ticket holders get a discount for buying the full season. But if you buy individual games those ticket prices for similar seats will cost you a whole lot more. And the 49ers can get 20% more per ticket from individual ticket sales compared to a season ticket holders price.

It’s hard to believe a team that has performed so poorly would raise ticket prices again. But the San Francisco 49ers look like they are trying to get the current 49er fans to pay for the new 49ers stadium they wish to build in Santa Clara.  And with the way the 49ers are playing today even that is not likely to happen. San Francisco 49er tickets are available for all the remaining games at increasingly discounted prices from PreferredSeat.com.

San Francisco 49ers Tickets Set to Drop for Raiders Game

by on Oct.12, 2010, under Sports News

The biggest game of the year for the San Francisco 49ers is going to implode this week with all the high prices. At the begining of the year this looked like a great rivalry game with the 49ers expected to make the playoffs and the Raiders improving in the offseason. But with the 49ers 0-5 and the Raiders 2-3 it doesn’t have the same punch it did at earlier in the year.

Ticket prices for the 49ers vs Raiders game at Candlestick Park this Sunday are running a little over $100 per seat just to get in the door but the best seats are just over $200 per ticket at this time. We expect the ticket prices may drop a little more tomorrow.

In most cases though you will want to order tickets by Thursday at the latest to allow for overnight Fedex. You will pay more for the shipping charge if you hold out past Wednesday but the ticket deals may be better as well.
