Fiddler on the Roof is performing at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco from January 27th through February 21st and Harvey Fierstein will return in the starring role he made famous on Broadway. Since 1964 Fiddler on the Roof has entertained thousands and the national tour of Fiddler on the Roof has finally come to San Francisco.

Michael Jackson’s video from the “Thriller” album may be made into a theatrical production now that producer James Nederlander has acquired the rights to the music video. Reportedly songs from “Thriller” and “Off the Wall” would be included in the stage version of the popular video, but no further details were released.

The recession has hurt sales for Theater tickets, both on Broadway and for national touring productions such as Wicked and Phantom of the Opera, so producers are looking for the another “Jersey Boys” or “Tommy” to help out the industry.
