MLB Tickets on Sale for 2010 MLB Baseball Season

by on Mar.05, 2010, under Sports News

MLB tickets are on sale now for the 2010 MLB baseball season and there’s still time to catch a spring training game live. Baseball games can be one of the least expensive live sporting events for an entire family and with the cold wet winter much of the east is going through, baseball may be coming just in time.

MLB baseball opening day is set for April 4th and it’s always one of the most popular baseball game tickets of the year. The New York Yankees will be trying to get back to the World Series once again after leading the American League East last year.  And they better with the crazy ticket prices the Yankees fans have to deal with at Yankee Stadium.

In the 2009 MLB standings the Minnesota Twins finished on top of the AL Central and the Los Angeles Angels led the AL East. In the National League the Philadelphia Phillies were tops in the NL East and went on to play the Yankees in the World Series, though they lost. The St. Louis Cardinals led the NL Central in 2009 and the Los Angeles Dodgers won the NL West title, but went no further, again.

A-Rod Blindsides MLB and Baseball Fans

by on Feb.10, 2009, under Sports News

What impact will A-Rods confession have on baseball this season, or his standing with the New York Yankees who are paying him $275 mil? Will another black eye to MLB add to a possible slow year for sales in baseball tickets? It may not change much in New York where a brand new Yankee Stadium awaits A-Rod on April 16th, but on the road things will be different. Fans of A-Rod will stay away, haters will show up as they did with Barry Bonds and have extra ammo to sling throughout the game in A-Rods direction.

Lucky for him, A-Rod was never called to testify about steroid use under oath or he could be facing similar problems that Bonds is experiencing. He may have lied in past interviews when asked about steroid use, but it wasn’t illegal or banned at the time so facing fellow teammates and the public will be his penalty.

This is not what MLB needed in an already tough time, but they still have the most affordable professional sport to attend and that should keep the fans coming.
