NFL Playoffs Set for January 9-10th for NFL Wild Card Games

by on Jan.04, 2010, under Sports News

The NFL Wild Card playoff games are set for January 9th and 10th after this weekends final NFL regular season games and NFL playoff tickets are on sale now and going fast. The winners of the wild card games will go on the NFL Divisional Playoff rounds on Jan. 16-17. Three of the four NFL playoff games feature teams that just played this last weekend, several ending in routs, though not all teams played with the same agenda.NFL Playoff tickets and NFL Wild Card game schedule

The AFC Wild Card playoff game will feature the N.Y. Jets vs the Cincinnati Bengals for a rematch of yesterday’s game that was a blowout with the Jets 37-0 win. Hopefully with the game at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati the Bengals will make more of a game out of it.

The second AFC Wild Card game will be at the home of the New England Patriots vs the Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, January 10th. The Patriots will be without receiver Wes Welker after he blew his knee out in the loss Sunday to the Houston Texans.

The NFC Wild Card playoff games will feature the Philadelphia Eagles vs the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboy Stadium on Saturday, January 9th. The Cowboys just came off a great game against the Eagles with a 24-0 rout so it will be interesting to see if the Eagles can bounce back against the Cowboys, who won the division title with that blowout.

The Green Bay Packers vs the Arizona Cardinals game at the University of Phoenix Stadium on Sunday January 10th should be a great one after the Packers 33-7 win against the Cardinals yesterday. Both teams took a different approach to the game, the Packers wanted to win and stay sharp, while the Cardinals rested their starters for next weekends game.

All roads lead to the Super Bowl and you can buy Super Bowl tickets now, or wait to see if your team makes it all the way.

NFL Ticket Sales Down, Blackouts for More NFL Teams this Year

by on Sep.14, 2009, under Entertainment News, Sports News

NFL Football tickets are moving at a much slower pace this year with NFL season ticket sales down significantly from last year for some ball clubs, as reported in the Sacramento Bee. Several of the same teams with poor records are on the list again this year including the Detroit Lions, St. Louis Rams and the Oakland Raiders and face multiple blackout dates for local television viewing.

A number of teams came close to a blackout for NFL’s opening day with the surprise being the defending NFC Champion’s the Arizona Cardinals, who barely avoided the blackout. There may be as many as 10-12 NFL teams with problems selling out their stadiums this year compared to only three last year.

Compounding the problem for the NFL is the reselling of tickets. If the team hasn’t sold out, you can bet the ticket brokers have not as well. Ticket brokers may have NFL ticket prices below the face value of the ticket as game day approaches, undercutting the team trying to sell their own tickets.

But the NFL may have only themselves to blame for the rising prices to attend a live game, and encouraging season ticket holders to resell their own tickets, creating a flood of tickets on the market for many of the poorer selling teams.

You don’t have to look very far to find teams without blackout problems. The Dallas Cowboys had no problem selling out their new Cowboy Stadium even with the highest cost for a family of four to attend a game, a whopping $750.

Now, rather than getting the best deal directly from the NFL team, you may just want to check ticket brokers such as PreferredSeat.com for the best deal in NFL tickets.

The steel curtain is back once again as the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC Championship and advance to the Super Bowl with a solid defense that kept the Ravens in check most of the game. The Steelers are sure to be Vegas favorites to win the Super Bowl but don’t count out the Cardinals fans showing up to bring some home field advantage to the game.

Super Bowl tickets are on sale now for what’s sure to be one of the best Super Bowl games in years and Raymond Jones Stadium in beautiful Tampa Florida is a great place to spend Super Bowl weekend. Check the St Petersburg Times Super Bowl section for more local information.

Ticket fraud is always very high for the Super Bowl so Cardinals and Steelers fans must use caution when choosing who to buy tickets from. We recommend you buy Super Bowl tickets from only reliable sources with years of experience and a great Better Business Bureau record to make sure you receive the tickets you ordered and they are guaranteed to be authentic.
