The San Francisco Giants are hoping to take the World Series today with a win over the Texas Rangers at Rangers Ballpark but both ticket brokers and some fans hope they lose so the team returns to San Francisco to take the series at home. But after the way the Giants took out the Rangers last night, that may be wishful thinking.
It’s obvious to see why ticket brokers want the game back at AT&T Park this Wednesday and Thursday because they stand to either make big bucks or return money for the games not played. But for some fans it’s just for the love of the game and they want to see another World Series game at AT&T Park.
At this point Giants fans feel pretty confident the Giants will take the World Series this year and another game would just be the icing on the cake. Especially if they win at home. Ticket prices for World Series game 5 have plummeted in Texas with prices just under $200 per seat for tickets that were selling for as much as $500 – $600 each a few days ago.
At AT&T Park for Wednesday’s game ticket prices start at just over $700 per ticket. For the price difference SF Giants fans can hop on a flight and see today’s game for less money that a possible game 6 or 7 at AT&T Park. Just a thought. But if the Giants win today you may see ticket prices go even higher for the games at AT&T Park. So you may want to buy your SF Giants World Series tickets today knowing you can get a full refund if the games are not played.
