A plan to build a new football stadium in Los Angeles is gaining ground with the deal for the naming rights worth around $700 million being announced today. Farmers Insurance will sign a 30 year agreement to name the new NFL football stadium Farmers Field and help kick start the financing for the new stadium.
There are a number of NFL teams that would jump at the chance to move to the new stadium in Los Angeles should it get built and there’s now doubt there is a need for a NFL team in the Los Angeles area. One of those possible teams are the Oakland Raiders. The Oakland Raiders were the last NFL team in Los Angeles and you can bet Al Davis would make the move back in a heartbeat.
Like the pending football stadium the 49ers are trying to build in Santa Clara the LA stadium would have to be financed with some sort of personal seat licenses which will be pretty expensive considering the Los Angeles market. But with the pending NFL strike the talks for the stadium in Los Angeles may cool until a player’s contract is signed so the true cost for all parties can be determined.
The high cost of football season tickets combined with the psl’s will force more football fans to turn to sports ticket brokers such as PreferredSeat.com for NFL football tickets. They can save by only buying the tickets for the games they want to see and pick out where they want to sit and take in the rest of the season from the big screen tv.
