Now may be the best time to buy tickets for the 2011 NCAA Men’s Regionals coming up beginning March 24th, if your willing to take the chance that your team will make it there. NCAA Men’s Regional tickets are often cheaper before the teams are announced and then tend to rise in price when the teams are determined.
Many of the biggest sporting events in the past six months have started out at a much lower price and rather than getting cheaper, they only rose in price. Tickets for the 2010 World Series, the 2011 BCS National Championship game and the 2011 Super Bowl all started at a much lower price than they ended up on game day and the ticket prices rose immediately after the teams clinched.
The NCAA Men’s East Regional Semifinals will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, the West Regionals at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, the Southeast Regionals at the New Orleans Arena and the Southwest Regionals will be at the Alamadome in San Antonio, TX.
There is never a guarantee of how ticket prices for 2011 NCAA Mens Regionals will go but you can get an idea from the possible matchups. The more popular the teams are that are playing against each other will always determine the price of the tickets on the resell market just as the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers 2011 Super Bowl game did.
But when you can’t guarantee your team will be there and that’s the only reason for you to go to the game it becomes a risk to buy in advance. Just be prepared for sticker shock if you wait too long.
