The 2013 NBA playoffs kick off in a little over a week and the teams are pretty much set for what looks like a return to the NBA Finals by the Miami Heat after a record setting season atop the Eastern Conference. The Heat are currently 62-16 and 34-4 at home with the home court advantage that will make them really hard to beat this year in the playoffs.
The Oklahoma City Thunder look poised to take on the Heat again in the Finals with the best record again in the Western Conference and for both teams the competition does not look like they will be standing in the way. Los Angeles may make a quick exit from the playoffs should they play the Heat in the first round with the San Antonio Spurs the most likely competition for the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
NBA playoff tickets are already on sale but the exact dates and times for the schedule will not be set until the final game is played. And once that happens there’s likely to be only a few days between the announcement and the first playoff games.
