You’ll find tickets for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular to be a great holiday gift idea this year and if you can’t make the show at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, there’s a chance the tour is coming to a city near you. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular tour is currently performing in over 20 cities for the upcoming holiday season from the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, to the Paramount Theatre in Washington.

The holiday show was the idea of the Music Hall’s stage producer Leon Leonidoff and the designer Vincente Minelli and the first performance of the Radio City Music Hall Christmas show was in December of 1933. It’s been a Christmas favorite in New York City ever since with over a million people visiting the Radio City Music Hall to see it.

In 2007 the Radio City Christmas Spectacular was updated with new choreography and design by Linda Haberman. The Rockettes are still the stars of the show with their legendary performance of “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers”, but Santa taking the kids on a magical sleigh ride to the North Pole is a favorite of the children as well.
