Tickets for the 2013 One Direction tour are going on sale today, a full 14 months in advance of the June 13 start date. The demand for tickets to see One Direction is strong enough for the boy band from Ireland and the UK to add much larger venues to the new tour schedule.
It seems crazy to put a concert our on sale over a year in advance and this appears to be a first. With the face value of One Direction tickets running as high as $350 each the band plans to bank a whole lot of cash before they even take the stage.
Leave it to Simon Cowell to figure out how to suck the cash from teens and their parents before the fans move on to another group next year. Concert fans can expect the trend to continue as promoters take as much cash in advance from the fans as possible.
One Direction concert tickets for premium seating can be found at Preferred Seating or from the venue box office and the official ticket source.
