We get asked this question all the time. Why can you find the same tickets on most of the ticket broker sites on the internet? Yes, in most cases they are the same tickets.

We get asked this question all the time. Why can you find the same tickets on most of the ticket broker sites on the internet? Yes, in most cases they are the same tickets. This is the way it works.

Ticket brokers upload their inventory to one or more of several exchanges. These are databases of tickets that a ticket broker will then display on their website so they can sell their own tickets if they stock any, and all other ticket brokers tickets so they can sell them also.

So then each ticket broker will choose to display their tickets on their website with either all the service charges included, or in most cases they hide the service charges until you choose the shipping method and then they mysteriously appear.

Ticket brokers will hide the total price to make it look like their ticket prices are cheaper, but the hidden fee will jack up the price of the ticket by up to as much as 25% or more. Usually, the higher the price of the ticket, the bigger difference between ticket brokers that include all the fees and those that hide them.

And it’s not like they are doing you a favor by breaking down the service charge, though they hide it. The service charge you see is usually only a part of the total service charge you will pay. Companies like Stubhub and many others will already have marked up the price of the ticket above their cost when you see it on their website.

Then they hit you with the service charge which does not give a fair tally of their true profits from the ticket sale. There is nothing dishonest about it. But it’s their reason for hiding the fees that we have a problem with, because the ticket buyer must go through the process of buying the tickets and choosing the shipping method just to find out they are paying more anyway.

At one time, a very short time, we did the same thing to compete on the web with the other ticket brokers. But we received so many complaints about the hidden fees we vowed we would never do it again. And we hate complaints. You can often tell the difference between ticket brokers that hide their service fees and those that don’t. Check the Better Business Bureau record for each and you’ll see what I mean.

Catch Jay-Z and Eminem in concert tonight and tomorrow night at Comerica Park in Detroit with Eminem headling these concerts and Jay- Z will headline the Yankee Stadium concerts on Monday September 13 and Tuesday the 14th. The concerts are sold out except for a few remaining tickets on the secondary ticket market and the fans can’t wait the most talked about concerts of the summer.

Eminem is at the top of his game right now with his hit single with Rihanna “Love the Way You Lie” which went number one on the Billboard Hot 100. And Jay-Z has been on top for a long time and has sold almost 3 million downloads of his hit “Lose Yourself” and 11 #1 albums on the Billboard Top 200.

These are the only concerts on the boards for these guys. The cost of taking this concert on the road are too prohibitive and there are no plans so far for any Eminem tour dates with Jay-Z on the books.

You can still buy Eminem tickets with Jay Z for the Detroit concerts and Jay Z tickets with Eminem in New York. There are not a great number of tickets remaining for the Comerica Park concerts but there are still plenty of tickets for Yankee Stadium.

What is the difference between general admission tickets?

Check with the seating chart experts at Preferred Seating tickets for the information you need about your seats.

Many times when a concert fan looks at a website with tickets to an event with general admission seating they will find they are listed many different ways, and at many different prices. Most of the outdoor amphitheater shows and many arena concerts have general admission seating and it can be confusing to buy them based on the way they are listed on the websites.

Since most ticket selling websites sell pretty much the exact same seats you will find this problem on most of the sites. The main difference between ticket selling websites is the price difference between them, if they have hidden fees, and the quality of the service they provide. And the reason for the different prices for the same type of tickets is that every site has different sellers asking a different price for their tickets.

Most of the time all of the general admission seats will be the same type of seat. They may be listed as GA, GA1, GA Lawn or several other combinations of these terms. But in most cases these are all the same general admission tickets that are being listed differently by each ticket seller, not necessarily to confuse anyone, but to try to make their tickets stand out.

Sometimes though you will find two different types of general admission tickets for the same concert. They may have general admission lawn seats that may be further from the stage, behind the reserved seating. And they may have general admission seats in front of the stage. These are usually referred to as “Pit” general admission tickets.

The main point is to check with the ticket seller to make sure that all the general admission seats are the same. And then choose the cheapest general admission tickets availableto save money.

If you have any questions about general admission seating or any seating questions you can check with the concert seating experts at Preferred Seating tickets at 800 427-3914. With over 23 years experience they know the seating details for most of the concert seating charts around the country. Seating charts for concerts, sports and theatre venues are available as well.

The musical Wicked is opening tonight at the Boston Opera House for a stay of a little over 6 weeks at the famed theatre. A few tickets to Wicked in Boston are still available for tonight’s performance through the secondary ticket market and for all remaining Wicked performances.

The Boston Opera House was reopened in 2004 after extensive renovations brought the theatre that first opened in 1928 back to life again. The original vaudeville theatre looks much the same today as it did when it first opened and for the musical Wicked the Boston Opera House is a perfect fit.

Tickets for Wicked at the Boston Opera House can sometimes be found at the box office, but once they’re sold out the secondary ticket market is the other alternative. You may not always find cheap Wicked tickets or discount tickets for Wicked from a ticket reselller, but you always find a ticket.

Preferred Seating tickets has been a leading reseller of cheap tickets for Wicked especially on or just before the day of the show. Call them toll free at 800 427-3914 with your Wicked ticket order and they’ll help you with the buying the best seats for Wicked at the best prices. You can find tickets for Wicked in New York City and all the shows on the Wicked tour as well.
