U2 will be coming to New Zealand and the cheapest U2 ticket prices of $40 come with a hefty $19 surcharge added to the ticket price. Most U2 fans thought the $40 ticket was cheap but they objected to such a high surcharge on the $40 ticket according to the New Zealand Hearald.
The fans are not bitching at U2, though they are ulitmitely responcible for all the charges on the tickets, they instead took their anger out on Ticketek, the seller of the U2 tickets. Comlaining about high service fees is nothing new to Ticketmaster in the US, but it seems the frustration with high service charges is universal.
The U2 tour will keep the band in Europe and elswhere through December before returning to the US on May 21st at Invesco Field in Denver for a three month run through the states. U2 concert tickets are still available for all the US tour dates.
