The time appears to have come the Roseland Ballroom in New York to close its doors and according to Billboard that will be this coming April when the last concert will be performed. It has been the perfect venue for up and coming bands with a capacity of 3,500 but there’s plenty of competition and there may be too many dates that aren’t getting booked lately.
Currently on the schedule for the Roseland Ballroom are Simple Minds, The Wanted, Pretty Lights and Panic at the Disco and they represent the type of acts that have played there over the years. Even the Rolling Stones hit the stage there in 2002 while rehearsing for their upcoming tour.
The next question is who will be the act to close it down?
