The Red Hot Chili Peppers are taking the concert business in the wrong direction and all for the love of money. Now that concert ticket prices are jacked up so high many fans can’t afford to go to a live performance, without sitting in the back of the arena and watching on the big screen. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are now going to sell you a seat in a theatre to watch the band perform in another city, at the price you paid to see them live in the past.
What a rippoff, and it had to happen because of the greed of the bands and the promoters, etc, etc. The next thing will be direct feeds to cable so you can watch at home, because this idea isn’t going to take off. They’re just trying to make up for revenue for lost concert business because of the high ticket prices. We’ll have to see how the fans take to paying to see a concert in a theatre, that they can’t afford to go to.
If you don’t believe they are being a little greedy, then cough up the $125 – $400 face value tickets to see them live at the Club Nokia on August 24th. Not exactly the “nice” price.
