I know there’s plenty that has been written about Ticketmaster’s outrageous fee’s, but they’ve topped it with a new fee, and they’ve put it where most people won’t notice it. This “Order Processing Charge” is not on the page where you decide to purchase the tickets, with the Convenience Fee or the Building Facility Fee, no this third fee has been added after you select the tickets, after you have added in all your purchasing information, then just before you confirm your order it’s slipped in under the rest of the fee’s. And like most people, the first time it happened to me, I didn’t notice it.

And I should have from my 21 years experience in the ticket business and thousands of Ticketmaster purchases, and I can tell you most of Ticketmaster’s customers won’t notice it either, and that may be just what they hope for. And it’s no small change either when you consider a $25 Monster Jam ticket, already marked up by $10.5 in fee’s before you are hit with the additional $4.45 Order Processing Charge.

Will someone please tell me the how you can charge an Order Processing Fee for a ticket you bought without human touch, and you’re already paying a $2.50 fee for the computer to email it to you?

So I’m asking Ticketmaster, will you please put the fee’s, no matter what you want to call them, up front so your customers at least know what they are being taken for? Can you imagine how much time is spent just coming up with new names for the fee’s?
