Dave Matthews Band tour moves into the winter

by on Sep.17, 2010, under Entertainment News

Tickets to the Dave Matthews Band are going on sale today for a number of concert tour dates in November at indoor arenas in the north east. The new tour dates come 6 weeks after the final Dave Matthews Band summer concert at Wrigley field with Jason Mraz.

The usual presales for the Dave Matthews Band have already begun and the regular on sale will be next weekend after several more rounds of presales.  The face value of the Dave Matthews Band tickets will be different with each venue. The floor area will be general admission, standing room only and the lower level will have reserved seats.

At the Philips Arena in Atlanta the face values run from $48 to $85 for reserved seats and $96 for general admission floor seats. In contrast the cheapest seat at the TD Garden will run you $88 per seat and $98 for the floor general admission seats.

The promoters and Ticketmaster is trying to scale prices based on how much fans in each city are willing or able to pay to attend a concert. At least the Dave Matthews Band does not have all the overpriced VIP packages that put only the rich up front, but to charge higher prices to some fans than to others does not seem fair either. Every city has their less fortunate in this economy.
