Garth Brooks to Come Out of Retirement – Garth Brooks Tour Going no Further than Las Vegas
by admin on Oct.15, 2009, under Business News, Entertainment News, Music News, Uncategorized
Garth Brooks has set a news conference for this afternoon to announce his coming out of retirement after nine years with an extended engagement at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas.
Don’t break out your hats for a Garth Brooks tour though, he won’t be going on the road any time soon according to his spokeswomen Nancy Seltzer, “If he tours again, it still won’t be until his youngest goes to college,” Seltzer told CNN via text message.
While I don’t know the ages of Garth’s daughters, I can safely say he’s going to be a lot older before he goes on tour again. Garth Brooks fans will have to wait till next year to travel to Las Vegas and see Garth for what is rumored to be a 16 week run, starting shortly after the new year. Garth’s last album came out in 2001, entitled “Scarecrow”, and he hasn’t done much in the music industry since except a few guest appearances.
Garth Brooks will be making the announcement this afternoon at a 1pm news conference. Garth Brooks tickets at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas are not on sale yet, stay tuned for further announcements!
Our latest update on Garth Brooks has him playing at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Resort for select weekends beginning December 11-13th.
Japanese Guitar Prodigy Yuto Miyazawa at the Knitting Factory in LA this Weekend
by admin on Aug.18, 2009, under Business News, Entertainment News, Music News, Sports News, Uncategorized
When we published our What’s Going on in Los Angeles this Week, we left out a fairly new artist to the music scene, Japanese guitar prodigy, Yuto Miyazawa, playing at the Knitting Factory on Thursday.
Though only 9 years old, Yuto has an impressive list of accomplishments in the music business already. In 2008, Miyazawa was named “The Youngest Professional Guitarist” by the Guinness Book of World Records, he has played with the likes of Les Paul and G.E. Smith, and has performed at Madison Square Garden and the Gathering of the Vibes this summer.
For the money, this may be the best bet for the weekend, so if you’re able to catch him live, you better before the cost starts to rise and he’s playing larger venues. If you cannot get to the Knitting Factory this week, check out the videos including his performance on the Ellen Degeneres show, playing Ozzy Ozbourne’s Crazy Train or any of Yuto Miyazawa’s videos on YouTube.

Aerosmiths Sure to Cancel Remainder of Tour with Steven Tyler Hurting
by admin on Aug.07, 2009, under Business News, Entertainment News, Music News, Uncategorized
As a followup to our earlier blog about Steven Tyler’s dancing accident, Aerosmith has already canceled the first few shows coming up with revelation that Steven Tyler had broken his shoulder.
And although it’s been reported the band may be playing an upcoming show this Sunday, I wouldn’t buy that for a second.
Can you imagine Steven Tyler dancing around the stage with a broken shoulder? And as much as I like to sell tickets, I wouldn’t touch a ticket for this tour until the dust has settled.
