Pearl Jam tour dates were announced for a 13 day run of concerts in May. Pearl Jam will start off on May 1 in New Orleans at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and end their run at Madison Square Garden for a two night stand on May 20,21.  You can see Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

The opening act for the Pearl Jam concert tour will be Band of Horses for all of the shows except for the Madison Square Garden concert on May 20, the Black Keys will sub for that show.  Pearl Jam puts on a heck of a concert, and no two are alike as Eddie Vedder likes to mix up the songs and cover the entire Pearl Jam catalog of songs. Tickets for Pearl Jam go on sale within the week.

It’s another big day for tickets going on sale as Conan O’Brien brings his act on the road. And who would have thought that a guy that just received a 40 million buyout, would need to charge up to $695 for tickets. And for $500 you get access to the sound check, for a comedian? There are much better deals out there for Conan O’Brien tickets from ticket brokers, who seem to have a better handle pricing tickets than Ticketmaster.

There are various fan club presales, credit card presales for dozens of artists today including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers who are putting Tom Petty tickets on sale for Madison Square Garden, The Palace of Auburn Hills and several other venues on the “Mojo” tour. Tickets for Simon and Garfunkel are also on sale today for several concerts in Canada including the Rexall Place in Edmonton, and the General Motors Place in Vancouver.

If you’re looking for country concerts, then you can find tickets for Brooks and Dunn going on sale today as well as Alan Jackson and Darius Rucker tickets. This will be Brooks and Dunn’s final concert tour and the Last Rodeo is your last chance to catch a great band.  You can find Cher tickets in Vegas once again as she puts a number of concerts on sale today for June and July at The Colosseum At Caesars Palace.

Maxwell and Jill Scott tickets go on sale today for several of the venues on their current concert tour along with Alejandro Fernandez, Joan Sebastian and Marco Antonio Solis at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. For sports tickets the Seattle Mariners  have a sale today for Mariners season tickets for 2010.

Simon and Garfunkel tour dates for their 2010 concert tour have been released and it looks like a short one with a few US and Canada dates. The Simon & Garfunkel tour begins with their New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival appearance on April 24th and finishes at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec on May 15th. Whether more tour dates will surface is unknown at this time.

Simon and Garfunkel tickets for the 2010 concert tour will go on sale on March 12th at all of the usual ticket outlets and Preferred Seating for the Simon & Garfunkel concerts will be available as well.

There are plenty of concerts on sale today and something for everyone from rock to country.  More Tom Petty tickets are going on sale today after all of the presales from last week. The public onsale for the Tom Petty Mojo concert tour is today and the tour will kick off on May 6th at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion. The Tom Petty Mojo tour will be using the paperless tickets that require the best seats for Tom Petty to be picked up at the door. Be sure you are dealing with a reputable ticket broker when you buy paperless tickets so your tickets are guaranteed.

Paul McCartney added another show to his tour schedule and you can now buy Paul McCartney tickets for the Sun Life Stadium, formerly Dolphin Stadium, in Miami, Florida. Tickets for Paul McCartney concerts range for the fairly cheap, around $65 to the best seats at $500 or more per seat. There may be more dates added to the Paul McCartney concert schedule so stay tuned.

Carole King and James Taylor have another Mohegan Sun Arena date for June 28th and a couple of presales for the Prudential Center and Madison Square Garden.  Carole King James Taylor tickets are on sale for most of their shows now.

The Eagles are coming to Cricket Wireless  Amphitheatre in Chula vista, Ca on May 23rd and Eagles tickets just went on sale today. And Sugarland will be performing at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord for the first time and fan club Sugarland tickets will be available at 10am today.

MLB tickets are on sale now for the 2010 MLB baseball season and there’s still time to catch a spring training game live. Baseball games can be one of the least expensive live sporting events for an entire family and with the cold wet winter much of the east is going through, baseball may be coming just in time.

MLB baseball opening day is set for April 4th and it’s always one of the most popular baseball game tickets of the year. The New York Yankees will be trying to get back to the World Series once again after leading the American League East last year.  And they better with the crazy ticket prices the Yankees fans have to deal with at Yankee Stadium.

In the 2009 MLB standings the Minnesota Twins finished on top of the AL Central and the Los Angeles Angels led the AL East. In the National League the Philadelphia Phillies were tops in the NL East and went on to play the Yankees in the World Series, though they lost. The St. Louis Cardinals led the NL Central in 2009 and the Los Angeles Dodgers won the NL West title, but went no further, again.
