Addams Family Musical at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre in Chicago
by admin on Nov.25, 2009, under Entertainment News, Theatre News
The Addams Family Musical is currently performing at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre through January 10, 2010. The Addams Family was created by New York Cartoonist Charles Addams and the musical brings to life the characters he created in the cartoon as opposed to the 1960’s television show.
The Addams Family was created by Jersey Boy’s authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, also from the Jersey Boys. There were only 150 drawings used for the musical out of several thousand available, and the story centers around the oldest child, Wednesday, letting her very close and loving family know she has fallen in love for the first time.
Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth lead the cast of the Addams Family Musical and they do a great job of portraying Gomez and Morticia and they have a fantastic supporting cast as well. The Addams Family Musical moves to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York in March for an extended run through at least November.
More information about the Addams Family Musical can be found from Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune and you can buy Addams Family Musical Tickets at the Oriental Theatre, the Ford Center for the Performing Arts in Chicago, Illinois or the Addams Family Musical at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York.
