Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Tour Dates and Concert Tickets

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have announced a tour of the US and Canada to support the new album Mojo coming out in the spring and Tom Petty tickets are expected to go on sale within the week. The opening acts for the Tom Petty tour that begins on May 6 will be My Morning Jacket, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Joe Cocker, ZZ Top and Drive By Truckers.

Tom Petty last toured in 2008, the same year the band performed at the Super Bowl at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The new album by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is called “Mojo” and is said to be a more of a blues-based album with longer jams.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have been performing together since 1976 and they’re still one of the top live rock and roll bands. Lady Antebellum up for Seven Academy of Country Music Awards

The Academy of Country Music Awards nominations were announced today and Lady Antebellum leads the pack with seven nominations. The hit single “Need You Now” is up for five of the nominations including single record and song and video of the year.

Carrie Underwood picked up six ACMA award nominations along with Miranda Lambert. Taylor Swift received five nominations and Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney each received four. The Academy of Country Music Awards show will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 18th.
