General Admission Tickets Come in Many Prices
by admin on Dec.31, 2009, under Entertainment News
Ticket prices for general admission seating for concerts can very greatly from each ticket site on the web. Even on the same website you can find dozens of listings for the same general admission tickets with descriptions such as Ga, GA1, Ga-7, etc, and the price of each of these tickets can very by as much as $10 – $50 or more.
The thing that consumers need to understand is that these tickets are all the same general admission tickets, and the only difference is the price the individual ticket broker is asking for his ticket. So the point is… Buy the Cheapest One!
And if you’re not sure if there is more than one general admission area, one close to the stage and one in the rear, and this happens once in a while, then call up the ticket broker and ask! Good luck with that one though since most of the large brokerages such as Stubhub and Ticketsnow employ so many people, after waiting on hold for 15 minutes, you find they don’t know a thing about the band or the venue seating!
Find a reputable ticket broker who is not so big they cannot answer their phone in a timely manner, on their dime, and answer any questions you may have about the seating and cost of the tickets. And while you’re at it, check to see if they belong to the Better Business Bureau. And they display the link on their site that takes you to their BBB rating so you can verify the integrity of the business.
If you have any questions about seating for any concert, theatre, or sporting event, don’t hesitate to give PreferredSeat.com a call at 800 427-3914, and they’ll show you why they’ve been the best choice for tickets of any kind since 1987.
College Bowl Game Tickets Come Cheap and Expensive
by admin on Dec.31, 2009, under Discount Ticket Deals, Sports News
There’s still time to get your college bowl game tickets for the upcoming games this weekend and depending on which one you’re looking at will determine the hit on your wallet.
There are still plenty of seats for the Cotton Bowl at Cowboys Stadium, the Rose Bowl at Rose Bowl Stadium and the Orange Bowl at Land Shark Stadium, but the ticket prices are pretty stiff for these games. The starting price for the Cotton Bowl tickets are about $110 each, but for $350 you only get an end zone Rose Bowl ticket.
On the cheaper side you’ll find the Capitol One Bowl at the Citrus Bowl, the Sugar Bowl at Louisiana Stadium, and the Fiesta Bowl at the University of Phoenix to have the cheapest college bowl tickets available. For these games the college bowl ticket prices are starting at a low $35 each and there are plenty of seats available still.
As always though you need to be careful when you buy last minute tickets, especially during the holidays because of delivery issues. Check with the ticket broker you are buying your tickets from and make sure they guarantee delivery in time for the game or you can trust them to leave your tickets at the college bowl will call window. And if you’re looking for the big game, BCS National Championship tickets, those are available as well, but be prepared to shell out over $600 per ticket to enjoy that one.
Taylor Swift and Susan Boyle, Top the Album Sales for 2009
by admin on Dec.30, 2009, under Entertainment News, Music News
It may be hard to believe but Susan Boyle’s album, “I Dreamed a Dream” is trailing Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” by just 175,000 albums as the No 2 seller of 2009.
Boyle’s debut album is still No 1 at Billboard for the 5th straight week, a record, and she’s kept some pretty heavy hitters from the top spot the past weeks including Alicia Keys and Mary J Blige.
I don’t think fans will flock to see Susan Boyle as they have for Taylor Swift, but it’s good to know that talent counts for something, and looks are not everything in music.
BCS National Championship Tickets are Anything But Cheap
by admin on Dec.30, 2009, under Sports News
The BCS National Championship is set for January 7th at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, and if you don’t already have your ticket, be prepared for to open your wallet. BCS tickets are currently going for over $650 each just to get an upper end zone seat. For the best BCS tickets on the 50 yard line you’re looking at over $1200 each.
And before you shell out that kind of cash you better make sure you’re going to get the tickets you ordered and get them in time. You can try Stubhub or Ticketsnow, but they have a tough time guaranteeing the exact seats will get to you on time, if at all. Because they have to contact the season ticket holder, hope he has not already sold them, and pray he runs right down to Fedex to get them shipped to you before the game.
A better bet would be to try a ticket broker with a great Better Business Bureau record. Since Stubhub and Ticketsnow get most of their tickets from ticket brokers it only makes sense to buy direct and save the extra markup. And ticket brokers can communicate directly with other brokers and guaranteed the tickets are shipped out on time.
Some ticket brokers such as PreferredSeat.com will also email the tracking information to you so you know exactly when your tickets will arrive. You just can’t beat the customer service of a good ticket broker over the poor communication you get from large corporate ticket sellers and a good ticket broker will be familiar with the events and venues, where a salesperson at Stubhub wouldn’t have a clue.
There’s still time to order your tickets to the BCS National Championship and you can sure you are getting what you order, on time, when you buy your BCS tickets from a reliable ticket broker such as PreferredSeat.com.
What are the Best Seats for Wicked the Musical?
by admin on Dec.30, 2009, under Entertainment News, Theatre News
Many times we are asked the question; What are the best seats for Wicked the Musical? Can you see the production better from the orchestra seats, the loge or the balcony seating?
For most of the venues that Wicked the Musical will be performing at this year the answer will be the same, about 5-15 rows from the stage in the center orchestra section. Many people prefer this location so they can see the details and expressions of the actors better.
The loge or mezzanine sections, which are the elevated sections that overhang the orchestra section give a great overall view as well, and usually have more head clearance so you can see over the person in front of you easier. Though the elevated sections set you back further from the stage, you don’t find yourself moving your head from side to side as much to take in all the action on the stage.
The center sections of the orchestra and balconies have the best view of the stage, but seats in the side sections that are not all the way to the right or left can still give a good view of the entire stage. The poorest viewing is from the balcony seats, especially from the last rows, but they are also the most affordable Wicked tickets available.
Wicked the Musical is currently on sale for the Gershwin Theatre in New York, the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco and more than a dozen venues across the country. Wicked Tickets on sale soon include the Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans on January 9th, and the Adrienne Arsht Center and Durham Performing Arts Center on January 15th 2010.
