College Football Ticket Sales Down This Year, Economy to Blame

by on Aug.21, 2009, under Discount Ticket Deals, Entertainment News, Sports News

College football ticket sales are down this year and some athletic departments around the country are scrambling to sell tickets. They have resorted to discounts, promotions and downsizing ticket packages, to encourage people to buy as sales this year have dropped enough for concern this year.

Some of the hardest hit teams this year are the Michigan State Spartans, Tennessee Vols, Florida State Seminoles, and Purdue Boilermakers, where season ticket sales are down 17% this year.

It’s not bad everywhere though. Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida Gators and Oklahoma Sooners are reporting strong sales this year, but they have not had problems with ticket sales in the past, even during tough times.

Lockerbie Bomber al-Megrahi Going Home to Libya – What Happened to Justice?

by on Aug.20, 2009, under Business News

Compassion my ass! Before compassion must come justice! Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the murderer of 270 innocent people, has only served 8 years of a 27 year sentence and has yet to pay for that crime and Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill of the Scottish Parliament believes he must show compassion for this piece of crap!

Bad Call Kenny!

Bad Call Kenny!

I believe in compassion as mush as anyone. But the compassion for this man must be outweighed by the enormity of the crime he committed, to those that he killed and the living relatives.

And from Bert Ammerman, whose brother died in the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 was quoted on CNN.com , “First of all, he got his compassionate release when he got life imprisonment and not capital punishment, which Scotland doesn’t have,” Ammerman told CNN. He should have remained in prison, then after his death, his body could have been returned to Libya, he said.
“Two, he’s going to be going back, even if he has terminal cancer, as a hero, and he’s going to be received as a hero in Libya,” Ammerman said.
“Three, let’s cut through all this information. He’s being released because big business in the United States, Great Britain want the oil in Libya, and that’s what’s driving this whole wagon,” he said.

The pictures of the crowds at the airport waving flags is disgusting, but coming from a country that was responsible for the bombing as well, and is ruled by Omar Kadafi, it’s too be expected. My bet is that bastard will live another year, I hope I’m wrong.
