Lakers and Celtics Forced to Game 7

by on May.15, 2009, under Sports News

The Houston Rockets will not go quietly and after forcing Game 7 of the NBA playoffs they LA Lakers may be wondering what hit them last night. And the Orlando Magic are making believers out of the Boston Celtics. Even without Kevin Garnett I doubt the Celtics imagined that it was going to be this tough against the Magic.

But both the Lakers and the Celtics face elimination on Sunday and those are a couple of games NBA fans will not want to miss.

Ticketmaster, The Worst Company in America, Part 2

by on May.07, 2009, under Business News, Entertainment News, Music News

Our previous post asserting that Ticketmaster was the worst company in America may have been a little off. According to a poll being taken by Consumerist.com, the final four was AIG vs Ticketmaster and Bank of America vs Comcast, with AIG and Comcast in the finals.

It seems that the final four are all equally hated and judging from the complaints, deserved as well. In the case of Bank of America, Comcast and AIG, we all have a choice of whom we wish to do business with, but with Ticketmaster there is no choice since they have such a monopoly that they are usually the only option.

In a world that anyones opinion can be expressed to millions in a short period of time, it amazes me that these companies don’t care enough about their image to address these complaints. Obviously in order for these companies to attain this status they have to be ignoring many valid complaints for the profit they make by continuing the policies.

Which brings me back to the beauty of the internet, research, research, research, that is how we will find the best companies to work with, the ones that are not on this list!
