Bad Economy Makes for Cheap NBA Tickets

The NBA has taken a beating this year with prices dropping below face value for many NBA teams around the country. Sports teams are not immune to a poor economy as we can see from some of the cheapest NBA ticket prices in years.
San Antonio Spurs Tickets – Upper level seats as low as $15 each – Lower Level $65 and up
Utah Jazz Tickets – Upper Level seats $15 each – Lower Level $65 each
New York Knicks Tickets – Uppers $20 Lowers $55 and I know they stink, but what else can you do in NY for $20?
Los Angeles Clippers Tickets – Premium level at $50, can’t get near that seat for that price for the Lakers!
Atlanta Hawks Tickets – Lower level seats at just $30! Even Mike Bibby alone is worth that much!
Minnesota Timberwolves – Lower level seats at $72, a bit high, but that’s against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Lil’ Wayne a Diva?

This is a guy that seems to have no class, canceling a concert last night for the third time at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY. A lawsuit is almost inevitable since he recieved a $100,000 advance and may not reschedule this show on his upcoming tour.
No kidding, who would want to take the chance? Anyway, the diva part comes from his reported requests to perform which include, a Learjet, a police escort, and fifty free tickets in the first 10 rows at the promoters expence.
And now we know where many of the tickets go!

There is no shortage of cheap tickets for events going on this week in Southern California including something for everyone with sports, concerts and theater events all on tap.

Los Angeles events this week
For sports, Los Angeles is loaded with events this week, including
NBA Basketball with the Los Angeles Lakers playing both Thursday against the Wizards and Sunday they play the San Antonio Spurs at the Staples Center.
Then there’s boxing with Shane Mosley fighting Antonio Margarito on Saturday afternoon, also at the Staples Center.
And Monster Jam tickets for the kids at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim for a fun and loud day.
For theater you have Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theatre for both evening and matinee shows.
